Booking and Payment
Visit our website, select your preferred vehicle and rental dates, and follow the prompts to complete your booking. Payment via credit or debit card is required to confirm your reservation.
We accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa and MasterCard.
Your booking is confirmed once the payment is successfully processed. You will receive a confirmation email with all the details.
Yes, you can modify or cancel your reservation through our website. Please note that our cancellation policy will apply.
CANCELLATION POLICY – Cancellation fee of NZ$35 will only apply to bookings cancelled within 48 Hours from pick-up date. Cancellation fee is waived for cancellation(s) due to an emergency and/ or delays due to natural disasters. Prepaid hire fees are fully refundable however Terms and Conditions apply.
Express Check-In
Express Check-In allows you to expedite the rental process by completing required information online before your arrival. This includes providing your credit card details and driver’s licence information.
After your booking is confirmed, you will receive a link to the Express Check-In form. Complete the form with your details and submit it online.
Using Express Check-In saves time at the counter, reduces paperwork, and ensures a smoother pick-up process. You can quickly collect your vehicle and start your journey.
Policies and Terms
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental period begins will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to one day’s rental cost.
No, all vehicles are smoke-free. A cleaning charge of up to NZ$150 will apply if this policy is violated.
Basic insurance is included in the rental price. Additional coverage options are available for purchase if you require more comprehensive protection.
Present your confirmed credit or debit card, driver’s licence, and the completed Express Check-In form at our counter upon arrival.
General
Yes, it is required by law to have a valid and current Local Driver’s License. Simply convert your valid and current overseas license at the NIUE Police for a fee of NZ$22.50.
Yes, we would not permit anyone without a valid and current motorcycle license to hire motorcycles and scooters. This is in the best interest of everyone and to prevent motorcycle accidents in NIUE.
Yes, we accept VISA and MASTERCARD over the counter and through our online facility on this website.
Visas are not required by bona fide tourists staying less than 30 days with return or onward tickets and sufficient funds for the duration of travel to NIUE. Automatic 30 days entry permits are granted upon arrival.
Applications for extended stays/temporary residence must be submitted before arrival directly to the Immigration Department.
Yes, we have standard insurance on all our vehicles – terms and conditions apply. Other insurance options and their costs are:
Excess NZ$2,500.00 – $0/Day (Standard Insurance), Excess NZ$1,500.00 – $10/Day, Excess NZ$1000.00 – $15/Day, Excess $NZ$0 – $25.00/Day.
No, all hirers must be 21 years and over to sign our rental agreement at the commencement of hire.
The majority of residing Niueans are bilingual in Niuean and English. Everyone is also incredibly friendly and approachable.
Driving License
Yes, all drivers in NIUE need a Niue Driver’s Licence. You can convert your overseas licence at the Niue Police Department for a fee of $22.50, valid for one year.
Speed limits are:
- 20 km/h within 50 metres of schools
- 20 km/h in congested areas
- 40 km/h in villages
- 60 km/h outside villages
You can pay the fee, request a mitigating hearing, or contest the infringement within 15 days. Contesting requires a court appearance in NIUE.
Fees include:
- No valid NIUE Driver’s Licence: $150
- Speeding: $75-$300
- Dangerous riding: $125
- No current warrant of fitness: $50
- Fail to give way: $75
